Plot Summary:It is year 20 of the 20th century in Shanghai, a time of chaos and turmoil as a power struggle ensues between two powerful warlords. After a series of events, Liu Moyuan (Nicky Wu), Jieyang (Li Wei), and Zhihao make an unexpected discovery together. Years ago, during the chaotic battles of the warlords, the three men met and became close; under the extreme circumstances, they sore eternal brotherhood through thick and thin, promising to continue the struggle for a peaceful future. Losing contact after the war, they are finally reunited now in the discovery that each is the long-lost god brother of the past. Overcome with grief and joy, the three swear once more to carry out the promises they made in the past. The three brothers began a joint investigation to uncover the secrets behind the Shangxin Primary School, just as the final battle of the Sino-Japanese war is about to start. With much perils awaiting them and death hanging in the air, the three brothers vow to defend China if it costs them their blood and souls.
